How deposit network works?
What are ERC-20, TRC-20 and BEP-20?
Think of each network as a different route for sending your crypto. For example, USDT (Tether) can exist on several networks. You may be able to send USDT using:
- ERC20 - Ethereum network
- TRC20 - TRON network
- BEP20 - BNB Smart Chain
- Other supported networks may also be available
Even though the asset is still USDT, each network is different and may use different deposit addresses, fees and processing times.
Why does the network need to match?
When you select a cryptocurrency and network on 96.com, you'll receive a deposit address or QR code for that specific deposit route. Your sending wallet or exchange must use the same network.
For example:
96.com deposit network: USDT – TRC20
Sending wallet network: USDT – TRC20
But:
96.com deposit network: USDT – TRC20
Sending wallet network: USDT – ERC20
Result: Network mismatch.
